Tired of carrying what she cannot name, it packs a tiny suitcase, hangs a GONE LITERAL sign on the door, and disappears. Without it, the writer discovers some truths are too sharp to hold without becoming something else first. And Metaphor, sulking somewhere between the lines, discovers it was never being used to hide the truth. It was helping her survive it. So it comes home. Not to fix her. Only to sit beside her in the strange space between what happened and what it became. There, among abandoned symbols and half-dead flowers, they breathe together.
