The author, Elissa Bea Vaughn, has struggled with several illnesses including fibromyalgia, migraines,and severe asthma to name a few. This past fall she struggled with tardive dyskinesia and COVID as well resulting in her latest health problems and inspired this journey of poetry. She graduated from Wake Forest and has a bachelors in Latin. She is supported by her family and her new love.
