Finding the Pieces of Me: Spiritual Awakenings, is a celebration of steppingstones that lead me to discovering more about myself. As I travel through my days, I'm forever reminded to make the best of what is directly in front of me. I am on a journey of self-discovery through writing. The act of writing poetry has led me to the most important things in my life and recovery, hope, faith and always, love. I am working every day to live and not just survive the trappings of the mundane in this life. It can be all too serious. Writing helps me really understand my own feelings and be able to name them and feel them in my body. Writing is a recovery tool and likely, the most important one for me.
