We spend our lives waiting for the light to come from the outside, forgetting that the most brilliant stars are born within. At twenty-six, the world demands a defined shape, but the journey to get there is anything but linear. PHOSPHENES is a collection of twenty-one poems that capture the friction between who we were and who we are becoming. Inspired by the luminous "stars" we see when we press our eyes shut, these verses explore the internal sparks of ambition, the shadows of heavy obstacles, and the gradual, beautiful hardening of a soul into its true form.
