Gombe

"Gombe" is a Kannada word for "doll" and the author's childhood nickname—is a collection of short poems exploring the body as a temple, a relic, and a silent witness. The collection follows a non-linear journey from desolation to reclamation, acknowledging that healing is a haunting, repetitive path rather than a positive, upward curve. These poems capture the tension between being an object of others' attention and becoming the sovereign of one’s own sanctuary. It is a raw reflection on the "ups and downs" of a spirit finally learning to defend its own shrine.
