Description of the Book:
When the Hummingbird Sings' weaves within itself, verses that echo a thousand emotions. The poems in this collection are an amalgamation of experiences and emotions, either lived by the author herself; or inspired by people, whose stories are still untold. Each poem is a sincere attempt to portray some raw and vulnerable feelings, that are bound to resonate with the readers.
Sometimes upon reading, they might experience hopelessness, anger, conflict or despair; or, sometimes they might find the light at the end of the tunnel. At times, they might feel one with nature, take a plunge into nostalgia, or might also feel the urge to question the world around them. Each poem is bound to offer them something to think about.
After reading 'When the Hummingbird Sings', the readers might get to know the author a little bit better, or might even end up rediscovering themselves. And, may be they feel inspired along the way. The poet has also made a humble effort to be a voice for the unspoken and unheard and she sincerely hopes to provide an enriching reading experience to one and all.

I am an alumni of Miranda House College who is on the path to pursue her research degree. My areas of interest are primarily Women's Studies, Gender Studies and Film Studies.
