Description of the Book:
"A Coming of Age" takes you through the stages of life in 21 poems, each reflecting an element: air, water, fire, earth, and ice.
Beginning with the tender hope of birth, the collection explores the innocence of childhood shaped by societal influences, like water shaping stones.
Moving into adolescence, the poems capture the fiery determination and idealism of youth, driven by a desire to change the world.
As adulthood approaches, the grounding realities of life set in, reflecting the stability and challenges of earth.
In the adult years, the journey delves into profound themes: the joy and pain of love, the deep sorrow of loss, the weight of grief, the chill of fear, the sting of regret, and the peace of acceptance. Ultimately, the collection leads to a rediscovery of hope and concludes with reflections on the icy inevitability of death.
Through these 21 poems, "A Coming of Age" offers a candid and heartfelt exploration of life's journey, inviting readers to reflect on their own experiences and emotions.

About the Author: If you are indeed holding the book in your hands and reading this, I offer apologies and many thanks for weathering through the storm. I fell in love with books as a 10-year-old. I explored abandoned castles with George and her friends, uncovered various mysteries with Nancy Drew and visited enchanted lands with the Stiltons. Suffice to say, it was a great year. While the journeys kept adding up, somewhere down the line came a time when I fell in love with the way poets weave words. William Blake, Vikram Seth, Robert Frost and Imtiaz Dharker among many others. Yet, it was D.H. Lawrence's "Snake," which I came across in 10th grade, that revealed to me the boundless freedom of poetry—unfettered by rhyme or rhythm. It could be free and wild and utterly glorious. It gave me the courage to start writing, a few lines here and there, eventually paragraphs which then vaguely started resembling poetry. Reading was my escape but writing became my salvation. Within these pages lie 21 poems, offering a glimpse into the journey of my 21 years.Eleven years ago, I would never have thought that one day, I would be the one writing and you dear reader, would be the one coming along for an adventure. Until we meet again. Book ISBN: 9789363301993
